LinkedIn has a LOT to offer. When I started my blog it help build a solid readership through Q&A. I answer a minimum of two questions per day and once a week aggregate the best four in a blog post.

My current job position was also a product of LinkedIn. Interestingly enough networking with the hiring manager over LinkedIn was enough to differentiate myself from the flood of resumes being sent in through the usual channels.

I like this blog; I found it via the CNMS Ning site. Hope to see you all there!

Even assuming everything is "a matter of perspective," that doesn't negate the existence of right and wrong. Not every point of view merits the same deference.

Amber - There was no way I could afford the event either... so I'm volunteering instead. :) Volunteers get to watch each speaker and be part of the social event.

I'm also going to try and meet up with a few fellow Brazen Careerist bloggers (www.brazencareerist.com) a night or two before the event for drinks.

If you're interested in either volunteering or getting together with some other geeks that like social media, shoot me an email and I'll give you details on both.

Happy Monday!

Thanks AK Thompson - I totally agree with the veracity of your statement: “But most very successful people I know (and who mentor me) are passionate and disciplined enough to know what is “right” and “wrong” to THEM, and they set their own terms.”

What other people think is irrelevant… we need to follow our own instincts.
